What is AccuTouch?
AccuTouch is Ally’s gentle healing touch – holding two points on a pathway or meridian. Ally’s treatment helps your body balance your Qi (or Chi) energy. It can help balance and release on a physical, emotional or spiritual level. It is deep healing using Acupressure and Reiki.

What is Acupressure?
Acupressure is a holistic (whole body) approach to healing. Acupressure is the application of gentle pressure to points on the body in order to make an intervention that will balance the energy system of the body. Usually this is done by applying finger or thumb pressure.
An ancient method of treatment that is as old as the impulse to touch parts of the body that are hurting. For example, holding your forehead when you have a headache, or pressing the inner corners of your eyes when they are tired.
What is Qi or Chi energy?
Chi or Qi means vital energy. Chi flows through your body in channels or pathways (Chinese called them meridians). This energy nourishes all of your body’s organs, protects you from illness and keeps you healthy. When the flow of Chi is blocked or constricted, pain, discomfort or dis-ease can result.
What does Acupressure do?
The goal of Acupressure treatment is to find and treat the underlying imbalances that are affecting the flow of Chi. By addressing the root cause of the discomfort pain or disease, Acupressure treatment can often help your body regain balance and assist improve your overall health. Acupressure treatment can help lessen pain, reduce inflammation, soothe uncomfortable symptoms, relieve side effects from medication. Acupressure can also help to increase your energy levels. And assist in releasing your emotional issues in a painless non confronting way.
What is the difference between acupuncture and acupressure?
The primary difference is that acupuncture uses fine needles that penetrate the body, while Acupressure does not penetrate your skin. Also an Acupressure practitioner is in constant physical contact with the client, who is fully clothed.
Acupressure and acupuncture use the same principles and the same points to treat. Acupuncture tends to treat more points simultaneously, while an Acupressure practitioner holds only two points at a time, with similar effects.
How does Acupressure work?

- Releases endorphins, the body’s natural sedatives, thereby reducing pain.
- Increases the flow of blood in the area, bringing oxygen to the tissues and carrying away toxins.
