What is Cranio Sacral Therapy?

Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) arose in 1930’s when Dr William Garner Sutherland, father of Cranial Osteopathy, extended the work started by osteopath Dr Andrew Taylor Still. In the late 1960’s Dr John Upledger developed it further and refined the Cranio Sacral system and developed more specific techniques.

Around the world there are many different schools of CST, most having their own interpretation of the original version.

The purpose is to tune in the client’s energetic body and connecting at the level of the cerebro spinal fluid (CSF) to assist the release of any restrictions or patterns that are creating the client’s symptoms*.

These symptoms could be physical, emotional or spiritual in manifestation and presentation.

CSF what the Chinese refer to as “Jing”, the life essence of a person.
It is considered to be the Sacred Fluid.

Flow

Flow is very important to provide connection, communication and resilience that our physical systems need to function to increase health. Healthy flow connects and distributes information and energy physically, emotionally and spiritually around the body. When flow is weak, blocked or stagnant it can affect your health.

A CST practitioner feels where it flows around, through, or below the blockage and helps adaptation and rebalancing for harmony in your body.

Like music, rhythms tempo and flow pumps and circulates blood, oxygen and other fluids through your body, including cranio-sacral fluid. CST assists in bringing into harmony the ebb and flow of waves of energy, adjusting so that you can relax and release blockages and retune into the flow

When we are in tune with our lifes temp, we are relaxed happy and in harmony.

What will happen and what will I feel during a session?

We will first talk about your health and well being. If you feel blocked or stuck in some area of your body or your life I can help you unblock it gently, safely and non-invasively.

During the Cranio Sacral Therapy session you will be lying fully clothed on a massage table with a pillow under your knees. You will feel the light touch of my hands.

First I spend some time tuning into your whole body’s energy system. I will “feel into” and sense the flow of CSF and energy in your spine and identify areas of congestion or restriction, then help your body to regain flow and release the block or tension. As your body releases, the energy that it was using to hold itself in contraction is also released to flow smoothly.

You may feel very relaxed and even fall asleep. You may feel heat from my hands, tingling, pulsation or other sensations.  All of which are completely normal and may vary with each session.

With each treatment your body downloads information and more relaxation, comfort balance and harmony.  Because the body ‘learns’, momentum and progress is easier during each subsequent session.

Why tune into Cerebro Spinal Fluid (CSF)?

Cerebro Spinal Fluid (CSF) flows within the dural membranes, or meninges, as they are commonly known, that form a continuous system. It encloses the spinal chord (nervous system) inside the vertebrae of the spinal column and encloses the brain in its balloon.

CSF also seeps out of the dural membranes into the body, back into the blood circulation. CSF provides the transport medium to carry necessary and essential nutrients to the nervous system, brain and eventually the body. Without it the body could not survive.

How Does Cranio Sacral Therapy Work?

By tuning into your energetic system and CSF Ally is able to receive information from your body.

This information and whatever else she receives will lead her to where she should make contact on your body and she is guided to do or be with.

Ally “tunes in” to the area and assist you to release: either by intention, working with structural alignments, or by being totally present and providing a ‘safe’ space for the release.

Once there is a release, you can notice a change in their way of being or how your body feels.

Although a very subtle therapy, CST can create some profound shifts and experiences with people.

Everybody’s experience is individual, and each session is different from the last (of course your body is ever changing so the same body never lies on your table again!)

As CST is non-intrusive, clients are sometimes able to release traumas previous therapies have not resolved.

*What is CST good for?

Cranio Sacral Therapy uses gentle touch on the joints of the cranium or skull, parts of the pelvis, and the spine for healing. Some people use cranio sacral therapy as an addition to other forms of treatment. As a whole body therapy, CST can aid almost any condition. It can raise vitality, increase available energy, and enable the body’s own self- healing to be activated. It is very helpful for the following:

How Many Sessions will I need?

During your sessions your body downloads information and resources to ‘learn’ new more comfortable ways of laying down structure and easier ways of functioning.  This means that healing can be improved with each session.  Patterns of tension that are stuck may take time to unwind and realign before finding ways to function more comfortably.

If you have never had a CST treatment before, committing to 4 sessions is recommended.  For those whose system is familiar with Cranio Sacral Therapy one or two sessions is good.

A personal recommendation will be given after talking and working with you at your initial session.

After the first few sessions many people choose to make CST a regular part of their wellness program and schedule regular maintenance sessions according to their lifestyle and needs.

Feeling Alone or Lonely?

Although you may feel that you are all alone, and no one has ever felt like you feel or gone through what you feel, don’t worry about it. You are not alone. You are never alone. There is always someone there for you. To help you, comfort you, give you advice or whatever you need. You just have to ask.

I know it’s not easy to know that the person who is making you feel bad or lonely has ever experienced what you are going through. But they have. Sometimes that’s the way they show they care. The way they love you. And it’s the best they can do.

So here are 6 ways for you to change that lonely feeling. When you don’t want to be alone or when you are feeling sad and want to change your mood.

6 ways to change your feeling easily

  1. Help someone

The easiest way to change your mood, to feel connected, is to help someone else. Someone who is not as well off. Smile at someone. Help a friend or family member who is not as well off as you are. When you nurture another person, you nurture yourself and love your self more. It helps you feel better, relax and open your heart.

  1. Make someone laugh

Think of a joke or something that makes YOU laugh and feel happy. Ring or text a friend and make them smile or laugh. It makes you feel better too. When you smile and laugh it lifts the mood of everyone around you. Google jokes on your favourite subject!

Laughter Yoga is a good way to help you laugh – deliberately start laughing “Ho ho, ha ha ha, hee hee hee” and keep saying it out loud until you actually laugh and feel happy!!

  1. Connect with nature, an animal, tree or plant

Go outside and be with nature, an animal or even tree or plant. Take your shoes off and walk on the grass, feel the cool earth under your feet. Walk on the beach and wriggle your toes in the sand, feel the water wash over your hands or feet. Stroke or cuddle a cat or dog if there is a friendly one nearby. If you don’t have a real one, get a teddy bear to hug!

You could go to the park and hug a tree! People often talk to their plants and vegetables as they believer that helps them grow.

  1. Massage*

Book to receive a massage. This is a lovely way to pamper your self, be touched and gently stroked. Just relaxing lying on the massage table and allowing the masseuse or masseur will help you feel better about yourself. There are many different forms of massage which can relax, refresh and energise you to feel better about yourself and your body. They don’t have to be painful if you specifically ask for a Relaxing Massage*…

  1. Respectfully ask a person older than you

Ask older people how they used to feel when they were your age and going through what you are going through. They have great stories and good advice to help you. They’ve often made similar “mistakes” to you!

Remember to respect others and they will show respect to you in return.

  1. It’s a game

Try to think of this life of yours as a game – a very big game. Or a play, where you are acting or playing the best and most positive happy role you can. Change your perspective so you can find the fun in any dull or boring experience. It’s not about winning the game. It’s about playing it and having fun. And learning along the way. About yourself. About others.

As a Tantric massage therapist I see many bodies. They are all different, and yet they are all the same. And I get permission to play with them – to tease and please, to stroke and tickle, gently and firmly.

Always I touch with love and respect – with my intention of healing and my powerful Reiki and feminine energy flowing through.

After a short chat in which the client (you) often says they are nervous or worried; I assure you that you are “just going to have a relaxing massage”. And that the anxious feeling is usually one of two things. It can be an issue that has come up to be released, and Now is the time. Or it could be the fear of the unknown – because you really don’t know what will happen. So if you think about how you want to feel when you leave, relaxed and happy after releasing the tension of life, it helps you to settle.

Also I talk about Conscious Breathing and we take a couple of deep, conscious breaths. That helps everyone to relax more.

When you are comfortable lying face downwards on my soft massage table, listening to relaxing background music, with gentle candlelight and sweet smelling air, your Tantra Pleasure Experience is about to begin.

I start with a dedication to the Goddess to bring healing energy from the Love Grid, through me to help you relax, release and surrender to receive pleasure. So you can de-stress and let go of all your tension and out of your head!

We do some breathwork together which helps you relax more, especially during your Sensual Tantric Massage. Then I start stroking your body all over with gentle loving fingers, hands, arms. When you sigh, moan and groan with pleasure, I give you more!  It’s great to have feedback. I love your expressions of pleasure. It inspires me to explore more. So often I will ask you: Do you like this? Do you like soft and gentle strokes? Or firm pressure? Does it tickle? Or is it sensual and relaxing?

Sometimes I use feathers to tickle you, or scratchy things to stimulate you or firm pressure in different areas of your body.

Your head and hair can be caressed and stroked or gently pulled for interesting effects. All in the name of playful pleasure…

Your back and bottom are more sensitive than you think. Your arms and hands get healing strokes too, with soothing light massage oil. It gives me great pleasure to explore your body’s sensitivities, and to help moisturise and relax your hands, arms and legs. If you want something different – just let me know!

When you have turned over, I have a whole new playground opening up! (Are you still aware of your breathing? And your energy in your Whole Body?)

I will probably tease you by starting with your legs or tummy – tingling or tickling or massaging those sensitive areas. And depending on your level of relaxation at that point I will ask you for more feedback.

Stroking your legs, body and arms in long or short strokes, I love to give you relaxing pleasure from toes to fingers… My enjoyment is doubled by your expression of your happiness – a release of breath, a sigh, and mmmmmm helps me enjoy it more!

Sometimes there’s a guided meditation or instructions. I sometimes take you on a journey through your chakras (or energy centres). There are seven chakras and they are similar to  the colours of the rainbow. This enhances your energy flow, especially if you can visualise or “feel” the colours, and it gives you a different experience in your sensual Tantric massage.

Towards the end of your Tantric massage, which may or may not include multiple orgasms, ecstasy, full body orgasm, joy and bliss and general relaxation, you could feel like you are “coming back” from your journey.

I can help you come back down (often with a bit of resistance “I don’t want to come back!”) and you can float for a while longer in your euphoric state.

When you are back – VERY relaxed and also energised, sometimes tingling and energised, then you can have a quick shower or enjoy the feeling of water-dispersible oil moisturising your skin and body for the rest of your day.

Afterwards, people often say they feel like they could go to sleep, as they are SO relaxed. However it’s similar to the state you are in when you wake up in the morning and are relaxed, but it’s a conscious state.

Your sleep that night will be peaceful… Some people tell me they are still tingling two days later!!

Lingam Massage – How To

Pleasure His Wand of Light

The Sanskrit language is very poetic. It names the penis as lingam, which means wand of light. And the Sanskrit word for pussy is yoni, which means sacred garden

Its much more romantic for a man to ask a woman “Can I play in your sacred garden with my wand of light?”

And if she asks him “Can I play with your wand of light?”” he feels the confidence of a Jedi Knight!

So how does she do this?

Set up for a Lingam Massage

  1. After a refreshing shower or romantic spa bath, set up your sacred space. It can be a massage table, or a mattress of the floor in lounge. In winter, in front of the fire; in summer outside in your secluded shady back yard.
  2. Slowly undress him, teasingly stroking his clothes off his body
  3. He lies on his front, you gently stroke his back with your fingers. Rake or tickle your fingernails around his buttocks, up his legs. Gently stroke his perineum (the sensitive ridge between his balls and anus)
  4. Watch his back as he breathes and tune your breath into his (slower or faster if necessary)
  5. After plenty of exploring his whole back, arms, legs, neck with relaxing easing strokes, ask him to turn over (he wont be asleep, just very relaxed)
  6. Start by teasing his legs with your fingernails and finger tips, then stroking with your hands up to his chest and down his arms. Then nibble or tweak his nipples. What does he like best?
  7. Kiss him from his toes to balls. Then up to his tummy to his nipples, neck, ears, teasing until you get to his forehead, then his lips. Move slowly back down to his toes.
  8. An option now (if his legs are apart) is to climb on the table from his feet or sit on the mattress between his knees. Crawl slowly up his body to lie on top and kiss him. He can play with your breasts if you sit on top of his tummy – still teasing!! It takes good control by a woman not to stop there! Do a couple of body slides if you want to tease him more. Sometimes you get stuck…
  9. Then slide down and kneel between his knees (if you are comfortable with the height of the massage table – easy if you re on a mattress or low couch). Now you can explore and play with balls and lingam and tease a bit more.
  10. Cover your hands with oil and gently apply it to his wand of light, stroking slowly and gently. Watch his face and check where he is as far as arousal. Usually his lingam will tell you!!

Strokes for His Wand of Light

  1. Ironing – both your hands are flat. Start with palm on base of lingam and slowly, firmly, move your hands all the way up his lingam and up to his chest, so that your whole forearm strokes it. Repeat with the other hand and arm, bringing each stroke around his nipple and down the side of his body, back to lingam. Repeat as many times as you like and as he likes…
  2. Lemon Squeezer – with plenty of oil on your palms, rub the tip (glans) of his lingam with your palm, as if you are squeezing a lemon. Do this gently the first time as sometimes the lingam is very sensitive. Ask to find the correct amount of pressure to apply. Watch his pleasure on his face.
  3. Ice Cream – lick from the base of the lingam up to the tip. Then nibble down one side, then the other. Flick your tongue p and down the wand of light and see hi face light up!! Lick around the edge of the glans to tease him. Watch his eyes go up to the top of his head! Gently suck just the head and lick the frenulum (spot where ^ of glans) to tease him more.

Alternate and repeat these Lingam Massage strokes until your Sacred Garden is well watered and ready to receive his Wand of Light.

I had a relaxing holiday in Bali – first  3 days with my Balinese family at their home stay in northern Bali.

On the way to northern Bali I visited Besakih, the mother temple, which was built in the 8th Century. Jof drove us through delightful Balinese towns and countryside and cool lush green rainforest, and it was high up on the mountain, with a wonderful view. I got some incense, flowers and matches from local women for the offering. My guide was Wayan and he showed me around, took lots of photos of me all around the temple complex. When we finally got to the place where we could pray he indicated the lady priest (who had a Mickey Mouse t-shirt on with her sarong!)

I stayed with my Balinese sister Dewi and her family for 3 days to relax. While I was there, Dewi introduced me to her spiritual teacher, Jro Tapakan, who is a priest in her town. He had lived in USA so he spoke good English and we had an interesting talk about our common interests of healing and teaching.

I had a relaxing Balinese massage, pedicure and had flowers painted on my toenails, enjoyed the local seafood at local warungs (restaurants) and read my book in the sunshine. I was honoured to be invited to attend a Balinese ceremony at a local temple where the goddess Durga healed many people, including giving me a powerful healing energy boost!

I got up before dawn one morning to go out on a local fishing boat at Lovina to see the dolphins play. The sunrise was magnificent – saw the rays of the sun glorious over the island of Bali. Delighted in seeing a dolphin jump out of the water, turn a complete somersault and dive back in! That is engraved in my mind – it was too quick to take a photo!

When we got back to Lovina there were 3 gorgeously beautiful Balinese dancers, and I danced with 2 of them and also had my photo taken with them. I sketched one of the dancers.

Jof drove me to the Banjar Buddhist Temple. The last time I was there 2 yeas ago they were building a pagoda. It’s now finished – with pink lotus flowers around the base and a pond with waterlilies and dragon bridges to get inside. Inside was dedicated to the Goddess Quan Yin, goddess of compassion. Next we went to Banjar Hot Springs for a swim in the pool and lunch. I bought a lovely white lace kebayah at the market there.

Inner Growth Retreat Bali 29 June-6 July 2017

Dewi took me to Villa Boreh on Friday 30 June for 7 day Inner Growth Retreat – joining meditation, Kundalini Yoga and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in Tejakula on the northern coast of Bali. Unlimited massages were very welcome, and, l like the others on Retreat, I took advantage of them, having a Balinese or Aromatherapy massage nearly every day in the massage building surrounded with water fountains. The weather was warm and balmy, food organic and delicious, and I made some new friends of the participants on the Retreat who were all from South Australia.

Every day we got up at 6:30am quick shower and from 7am to 7:45 we did meditation with Peter; then Mardi led us to do Kundalini Yoga till 8:30am then we enjoyed breakfast. From 9:30am to 12:30pm we did powerful NLP processes. Ate healthy organic lunch outside in the sun at 1pm. We had some afternoons free and could have unlimited massages and beauty treatments (like coffee body scrubs). So every day for the first 3 days I had a one hour massage, and one day I had 1-1/2 hour massage! Then we had dinner by the sea at sunset at 6:15pm, then meditation from 7.30pm to about 8.30pm, then we all went to bed!

I enjoyed learning the different methods of meditation, however my legs ached so much which distracted me from meditating properly because I’m not used to sitting cross legged OR sitting still. Also I have a belief that stillness meditation is a male thing. The goddess energy has to move and flow like water… So the solution could be to get a foldup meditation stool. We did a couple of walking meditations as well, which I liked.

I liked the gentle movement and breathing of Mardi’s Kundalini Yoga – as long as I didn’t do too much energetic breathing, cos it made me too light headed!

The NLP processes, most of which I have done years ago, were focused on one area in the Wheel of Life that we wanted to work with. We looked at our values, negative emotions (and dissolved some of them), generative beliefs, limiting beliefs (and changed them [without telling others what they were]), goals and identities… and all came out with a positive result at the end… Very powerful and very healing.

We also went to visit the Semkupal waterfalls, visited local salt works, a local weaver and indigo dyer and bought a lovely indigo dyed batik sarong. At the end of the Retreat we participated in a special Lantern ceremony on the beach.

The next day after our final morning and lunch, Dewi and her family picked me up to drive me to Sanur. That’s her Mum, Dad, cousin Ketut who drove the vehicle, nephew Marvin and her children Jivan and Ayu. The car was very quiet when we went over the mountain – everyone besides me and the driver were asleep! We stopped at Bas Coffee Plantation on the way to have coffee (even the children had coffee) and I bought some vanilla beans and turmeric. They took me to Sanur Beach and we took lots of photos of each other, then left me at my homestay. On my final day I had breakfast and then walked along Sanur Beach taking photos. Dewi and Ketut picked me up and took me to Krisna store to get some t-shirts and then to the airport.
